Sampling Plans for General Education Outcomes Assessment, Webinar Archive | Texas Assessment Collaborative
On Monday, April 11, LEAP Texas Assessment Fellows presented a webinar for the Texas Assessment Collaborative inter-institutional assessment project. The archive of the “Sampling Plans” presentation materials is now available.
This webinar discusses sampling considerations relevant to the Texas Assessment Collaborative project and also provides insights relevant to any institution engaging LEAP VALUE-based assessment of general education outcomes. The first segment focuses on a draft sampling plan for the ongoing Texas Assessment Collaborative Project; that draft describes the parameters for the sample of student work to be submitted to the project by participating institutions. The second and third segments of the webinar discusses local considerations for sampling by examining the sampling methods used by two LEAP Texas institutions: Stephen F. Austin State University and San Jacinto College.
Any institution sampling student work to be assessed against learning outcomes may have interest in this webinar archive in order to inform local practices regarding sampling methods; institutions participating in the Texas Assessment Collaborative project were encouraged to attend.
The presentation materials are available here: LEAP Texas Assessment Collaborative: Sampling Plans for General Education Assessment.
